Las Palmas enchilada sauce was originally conceived in 1922 in Ventura, California, by a talented Mexican housewife named Rosa Ramirez. Rosa began making her delicious "enchilada sauce" from an old traditional family recipe that she refined, using carefully hand-selected "chiles" and other ingredients of the highest quality and freshness. His savory sauce became an instant hit with his neighbors and friends. Encouraged by this success, Rosa moved beyond the confines of her kitchen and founded the Ramirez & Feraud Chili company. Today Las Palmas is the best-selling Mexican sauce in the United States. Although it has grown from humble beginnings, it remains authentic to its roots, using only the highest quality chiles and other fresh ingredients. Las Palmas offers a wide variety of Mexican cuisine sauces, including Red and Green Enchilada Sauce, Red Chile Sauce, and Hot Enchilada Sauce, in addition to other Mexican cuisines of Tumatillos and Green Chile Tumatillos.
